Work-in-Progress screening of the docuseries, “City Beat.”
Come to a work-in-progress screening of the docuseries followed by a Q & A with Lou discussing the project’s inception, prep, budgeting, scheduling, and the twists and turns of making a documentary series and bringing it to life.
In 2023, filmmaker Louis Iacoviello decided to channel his experiences in Orlando’s Electronic Dance Music culture, now known as EDM, from its emergence to its swift progression onto the world stage. His research, interviews, and experiences transform into the vibrant docuseries, “City Beat.” This project explores the evolution of the music, as well as the culture, also known as PLUR, and the city’s tumultuous relationship with it. Orlando was at the heart of something special, and it is his wish to share his story and its unique perspective. Lou is Volusia County filmmaker currently employed as a Camera Operator / Videographer and working for such clients as the Orlando Magic, Orlando City & Pride, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
