MAKING THE IMPOSSIBLE PRODUCIBLE
How Films Actually Get Made (and What Happens When the Plan Goes Sideways)
Program Description:
Producer Noah C. Haeussner offers a candid look at what it actually takes to move a film from the page into production, and ultimately into the global marketplace.
Drawing on nearly two decades across studio marketing, independent film, documentaries and international production, Noah has worked with companies including Warner Bros., Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate and Sony, and on films and documentaries including Arctic, Introducing, Selma Blair, Shawn Mendes: In Wonder and Here Are the Young Men.
The conversation will explore the realities of packaging, casting, financing, budgeting, incentives, international production, sales, distribution and marketing, but also the part rarely covered in a producing textbook: what happens when the plan falls apart. Financing disappears. Talent changes. Locations collapse. Budgets move. Markets shift. The producer’s real job is knowing how to navigate those moving pieces, adapt quickly, protect the creative, and still find a path to the audience.
