03-11-24 Melbourne Branch - PSA Project - Part 4

CREATING a PSA for a Local nonprofit organization.

  At our February meeting we presented four scripts that were created at the January 27th PSA writing workshop led by Jaimie Engle, Mike Germaine, and Terry Cronin.  Two of those scripts were focused on promoting the MIFF for entries from young filmmakers, one focuses on general submissions to the MIFF, and the final one focuses on attendance at the MIFF.  At least one more will be produced later in the Spring that gives an overview of No Limits Academy, which can be used by NLA and the MIFF.    Mike Germain with Ella Grace Helton will be Producing/Directing Mike's group's script (youth submissions), Sheri Taylor is the P/D on Jaimie's group's script (general submission promo), Om Rampersad is the P/D for Terry's group's script promoting MIFF attendance, and Russell Sanders will be P/D for Terry's group's script (youth submissions).  PRELIMINARY versions of all these scripts are attached.      For this effort some of us with equipment will make it available for the upcoming production effort as well as a group of our members will be available to guide and advise during the production.  I will make my studio and equipment available on Saturdays when we are not using it for other production efforts.
