Before earning her B.S. degree in Communications from the University of North Florida, Rolanda started her career as an intern for several Emmy Award-winning shows. After graduation, she started as a marketer in radio advertising at TAMA Broadcasting. Partnering with the local radio stations, she launched her first business, Reel Faith Productions to produce Jacksonville’s first Bridal Television Show, Going to the Chapel. Within the first year, the series was recognized as the best in the industry as a recipient of 2 Communicator Awards. In 2017, she also launched Outchea, an iTunes top comedy podcast, with her brother and highly recognized entertainer, Lil Duval adding credits of co-hosting and producer to her belt. One intentional choice at a time, Rolanda seeks to make the world around her better and draws from her 13 years of experience advocating for faith-based LGBTQ+ communities. In addition to her community leadership involvement, it is also her vision to re-imagine the Bankhead Drive-in Theater — a westside staple in the 1950s. Rolanda provides free summer outdoor movie events to the NPU-J community, offering the firstever Bankhead Movies in the Park 2019 and pivoting with COVID-19 to bring the 2020 Westside Pop-Up Drive-In.
