Roslyn Franken is an internationally acclaimed author, inspirational speaker and proud daughter of Holocaust and atomic bomb survivors. She is best known for her book, Meant to Be: A True Story of Might, Miracles and Triumph of the Human Spirit. She wrote the book to share the awe-inspiring story of how her parents survived the horrors of their captivity continents apart and then met, married and made a beautiful life together, against all odds. Roslyn also reveals how she turned to her parents for strength and inspiration in her fight to beat cancer at 29 and the valuable lessons we can all learn from them to better our lives and help make our world a better place.
Roslyn will tell us how she first put her story to the page and then took it from the page to the stage with a multimedia presentation she produced and now delivers to diverse audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Her presentation has been described as "emotionally charged, uplifting and presented in a manner that is both entertaining and inspiring." She will also tell us how she is now taking Meant to Be from the stage to the screen with a feature film adaptation of her book currently in development of which Roslyn is Co-Writer, Script Supervisor, and Executive Producer. She will also be making her acting debut. Her other books include The A List: 9 Guiding Principles for Healthy Eating and Positive Living and a book she co-authored entitled, Death Can Wait: Stories from Cancer Survivors. She also offers an Author Coaching program for aspiring authors looking to finally get their stories out of their heads and onto the page. Roslyn has been a guest on numerous television and radio shows and featured in newspapers and magazines across North America and abroad. For more information, visit www.RoslynFranken.com.
