Southern Exposure Production Group Welcomes WIFT FL!!
Southern Exposure was created in 1980 when three Fullers all threw their hats in the ring. Sara was running Fuller Production Services in Winter Haven, working as a DGA 1 st on commercials and a location scout and manager. Mike was operating his own small production company in Winter Haven, shooting commercials for lots of national and Central Florida agencies and production companies. Brad was wrapping up a two year gig as an agency producer for W.B. Doner in Baltimore and Detroit. The first operating company in the group was Florida Film & Tape, Orlando’s first professional television commercial production studio.
In 1987 the Mike Fuller Group was spun out as a separate company, originally as Michael Fuller Marine Photography, specializing in boat photography. Mike grew to be the premiere boat shooter in the country before others saw how much fun it was and everyone else tried to catch him! Mike & his team are still on the top of the heap, with dozens and dozens of clients all around the country, and some of the coolest photo boats on the water! Mike is also in high demand as a marine coordinator for the steady flow of commercial and television producers who pass their cash through Orlando.
Cine Air Services was created in 1995 to cater to the growing client list that both Mike & Brad had for aviation photography and motion picture services. The hangar now holds four aircraft and a couple of drones that are used regularly in providing those services. Both Mike & Brad are commercial pilots with instrument, multi-engine, glider and seaplane ratings, and both have been considered top talents with an aerial camera for close to forty years.
Laurence Vexler moved LHV Audio Services and Raintree Recording Studios to FF&T in 1995 to provide an audio suite and related services after Brad & Laurence worked together as camera/sound team on a shoot at Universal Studios. Laurence already had an established reputation as an excellent sound designer in the studio and an A1 on remote shoots. Since the FF&T studio was a converted recording studio, it was a logical progression and a partnership that has worked well for over twenty years. LHV’s remote audio trailer travels all around the United States working for major networks and shows, and
FF&T clients have benefited immensely from Laurence’s excellent sound design and engineering. What started as a practical solution to better utilize the small soundstage, FF&T invited acting schools and casting directors, beginning with Lauren O’Quinn’s Class Act Studios, to come aboard. When her acting classes outgrew the space, Lauren magically turned into Mark Mullin Casting, one of the premiere casting directors in Florida, and now working in L.A. as well. Lauren is a lot prettier, but Mark has brought fame & fortune to many accomplished and aspiring actors in Florida, and provided a very complete and professional service to producers and directors, helping Orlando to rise as the first choice casting option in the state.
Immersion Films & Media is Michael Rothwell’s production company and also operates out of the Lake Breeze studio. Mike was an early staff member with FF&T in 1989 and shifted to freelance and his own production company in 1992. Michael is best known for his photography, corporate and documentary work and has been a first-call freelancer for FF&T productions for twenty years. The latest addition to the complex is Blue Island Digital, a full service digital marketing agency, working out of both the Lake Breeze studio and a separate office in New Smyrna Beach. This small-but- growing agency grew out of a website design firm and has its roots in New Smyrna Beach, maintaining a strong client base there, but has recently expanded to service a major national brand, the Matchmaking Institute in NYC. Brad does double duty, dividing his time as partner/creative director between FF&T and Blue Island.
